Corporate Social Responsibility

We play our role

Panafrican recognises its responsibility as a corporate citizen towards its stakeholders and the communities within which it operates. Accordingly, the group is committed to playing a role in territory development to meet social needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come.

Taking Responsibility

We take responsibility for the impact of our activities on customers, employees, shareholders, communities, and the environment in all aspects of our operations. This obligation extends beyond statutory obligations to taking further steps in improving the quality of life for our employees and their families as well as for the local communities and society at large.

01

Helping You Grow

We support important training in our regions. This includes:

  • Nursing development in Ghana. This is through an initiative sponsored by the Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto along with the Canadian government.
  • Employee training and development. We accomplish this through world-class and market-leading training programs in the areas of heavy mechanics, electrical, parts and service and sales.

02

Promoting Education

The Panafrican Group aims to promote literacy. We have collaborated with the Charles and Rita Field-Marsham Foundation (www.fieldmarshamfoundation.org) to develop literacy and learning through equal access to knowledge and opportunities.

We will accomplish this by developing turn-key libraries in regions in which we operate. This will support the local communities as well as our employees and customers’ employees.

03

Lending a Hand

We aim to support our customers’ CSR opportunities in mining and the other communities in which we operate. By supporting our customer initiatives, we will create a single and common focus to the regions.

HEALTH & SAFETY

With an operating philosophy of safety first, we strive to deliver performance in a safe and secure environment, for not only our personnel and our customers’ personnel, but all those that fall under our care and control.

Panafrican as a solutions provider and supplier of choice is committed to maintaining the highest standards of Occupational Safety, and Health and Safety procedures as this forms an integral part of how we conduct our business and who we are. We strive to have zero injuries and protect physical health and well-being in the workplace of our employees and stakeholders as well as any person under our care and control. We believe that all injuries and occupational illnesses are preventable.
